Athletic Training

Responsibilities

  • Aspects of injury prevention, recognition and evaluation of injuries

  • Treatment and care of injuries

  • Education and counseling of athletes, coaches and families

  • Organization and administration of an athletic training setting, a pertaining to the high school and middle school levels.

  • Event set-up and coverage

  • Maintaining Inventory and Budget

  • Conducting Injury evaluations and treatments

  • Rehabilitation of Injuries

  • Support of visiting teams, their athletes, coaches and spectators

  • Orthopedics & Primary Care Physician Liaison

  • Scheduling of EMS for game coverage

  • Athletic Physical Organization with local Primary Care Physician for HS and MS athletes

  • Implementation and Teaching of Student Athletic Trainers

  • Implementation and Updating of Healthy Roster Software

  • Hands-on CPR training for seniors and staff

Athletic Training Room Hours

August 1st – end of football season:
5:30 a.m. – end of last practice for day

Remainder of school year:
6:45 a.m. – end of last practice for day

June and July:
7:00 a.m. – Noon

Saturday throughout the year:
8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
